GPS hispaniatour

The GPS Hispaniatour is a unique combination of experience in our GPS program.

Between 218 BC and the beginning of the fifth century AD, the Iberian Peninsula was ruled by the Romans called their Hispania . During that time, the Romans brought all their construction knowledge to the current Spain.

The longest of Spain's mountain ranges, the Sierra Morena extends almost the whole way across Andalucía - from Rosal on the Portuguese frontier to the dramatic pass of Despeñaperros, north of Linares.

Emérita Augusta (Mérida, Extremadura) This city was founded in the year 25 BC as Augusta Emérita and is now known as Merida. At that time this was one of the main cities of Hispania and even the capital of the province of Lusitania. Merida is home to this day, perhaps Spain's finest Roman monuments like the Templo de Diana, Aqueduct de los Milagros, the Amphitheatre and of course the well preserved Roman theater.

Alcántara Bridge (Cáceres, Extremadura) Experts are still not entirely agree but many see the Puente de Alcántara in the province of Cáceres as the most beautiful bridge in Spain.
